What information we collect
When you request a quote, book a service or contact us, we collect the information you choose to give us: your name, your phone number, your email address, your suburb or address, and details about the television or DStv installation you need help with. If you send us a photograph or video of a fault, we collect that too.
Why we collect it
We use it for one purpose: to respond to your enquiry, quote for the work, carry out the service and keep a record of what was done. We need your address to send a technician, your phone number to confirm the appointment, and the details of the fault to bring the right parts.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information. We do not share it with advertisers or data brokers. We do not add you to marketing lists you did not ask to join.
Who we share it with
Only where it is necessary to do the job: the technician attending your property, and where relevant a parts supplier (to whom we would give the model of your television, not your personal details). We may also disclose information where we are legally required to.
How long we keep it
We keep service records for as long as is reasonably necessary to support any warranty on our work and to meet our legal and accounting obligations. After that, we delete them.
Your rights under POPIA
Under the Protection of Personal Information Act, you have the right to ask what personal information we hold about you, to ask us to correct it if it is wrong, and to ask us to delete it where we have no lawful reason to keep it. Email support@budgettvrepairs.co.za and we will respond.
Cookies
Our website uses only what is necessary to make the site work. We do not run advertising trackers.
