What does error E48-32 mean?
It means the decoder is not receiving a usable signal from the dish. It is a signal-path error, not a decoder fault, and it points at the LNB, the connectors, the cable or the alignment.
Why does my DStv break up when it rains in Randburg?
Rain fade — heavy rain absorbing the satellite signal. Every installation suffers it in a real Highveld downpour. But if yours breaks up in light rain, the installation has no margin left, usually because the alignment is marginal or the LNB is degrading. Both are inexpensive to fix.
